Your first appointment
On the day of your first visit, please do not wear strong perfumes or colognes. Please do not brush or scrape the coating off of your tongue. The tongue coating is an important diagnostic that is helpful in guiding your treatment.
Bring your completed forms -Health History and Lyme Disease Symptoms List to your first appointment.
I also recommend getting a separate notebook to journal your day-to-day changes, improvements, and insights as you go through this program.
1st part of treatment: Detoxification
When you arrive, you will have the option to take an electrolyte drink to prepare you for an ionic detoxification foot bath. Next you will be guided to a treatment room for your intake appointment. Once you are seated in the room, you will be asked to take off your shoes, socks, or stockings and to roll up the cuffs of your pants.
Then you will be instructed to place your feet in the detox foot bath. Please tell the practitioner if the water needs to be warmer or cooler. They will sprinkle sea salt into the water to maximize the detox effect. As you let your feet sit in the water, the practitioner will take photograph of your tongue. Next, you will be give a form to fill out to indicate how you are feeling today.
Once you complete the form, the practitioner will ask you about your medical history, specific concerns that you want addressed in your treatment program, and answer any questions you have.
After your detox foot bath is complete, the practitioner will instruct you to get onto the treatment table. The practitioner will leave the room to give you some privacy to take off your clothes and to drape yourself on the table. The practitioner will re-enter the room. Let them know if you need the room warmer or cooler. You can also ask for a bolster for propping up your knees.
2nd part of treatment: addressing your symptoms of pain, fatigue, mental fog
Depending upon your most pressing concerns, you will receive a combination of several healing modalities aimed at alleviating your chronic Lyme discomfort, fatigue, or brain fog. These treatments include acupuncture, moxabustion, craniosacral technique, Sufi healing, low light therapy, and energetic healing methods.
3rd part of treatment: herbs and supplements for clearing Lyme and detoxification
At the end of your treatment, your practitioner will go to the herb dispensary to mix your herbs. These herbs are customized each week to address your primary concerns around healing pain, fatigue, mental fog, or other symptoms. Instructions for taking the herbs will be on the label. Different supplements may be recommended depending upon a treatment strategy for co-infections and biofilms. Please call or email us if you notice any unusual reaction to your herbs or supplements.
4th part of treatment: journaling your observations, insights, and changes
You may notice many changes and improvements as a result of your treatment. You may also get some very deep insights into what your body, mind, emotions, and spirit needs to heal further.
Take a few minutes to write them down. Your Goodbye Lyme Journal will help you to see what worked the best with your conditions. It also helps to remind you of the progress and accomplishments that you have made. I highly recommend taking 10 minutes at the beginning or at the end of the day to write down what progress you have made.
Bring your journal to your weekly treatment sessions to share what has worked and what still needs more healing support.
